*This post is a "Work In Progress," yet at the same time I feel like it is going to be a WIP for a long time. I decided to post it now even though I feel it's not complete yet is because I haven't posted a blog in a while and I felt that it was time to reveal this post*
I was watching music videos on Youtube when I came across a song that had a certain line that made me think about a subject that I've always thought about in my head but never really fully explained or developed outside of my mind. The line was "Can we bring yesterday back around?" and that made me think about how the choices we make in our lives affect us, which then led into thoughts about time traveling. It might be a weird combination, but it's actually isn't that weird.
Think about it. If you had a time machine wouldn't you go back in time to change something in your life that just didn't go right and that you couldn't change the outcome from happening or maybe you want to make a different choice. One that was different than the one you made in the past? I know for me there are certain things in my life I would change if I had the chance, but then I really start to think about what the repercussions would be. Lets say I change that I didn't move to a new neighborhood when I was younger, what does that mean for my future? Does the life I was living before I made this change suddenly disappear or are there any major outcomes? You have to think that you are who you are because of all the choices and mistakes you made up to the present. If you change just one thing in you past could that have enough of a impact to make you a different person in the future or have an affect on how you live?
For me a life changing opportunity happened when I was very young. I was born in South Korea and then I was adopted when I was around three months old to a loving family in America whom I still am with today. When I think about it I always wonder what could have happened if different choices were made. Speaking of the time machine factor: how would my life change if one single decision was changed, if I went back and made it that I went to a different family, or stayed with my birth parents. Would I still be in Korea, submerged in a culture that I'm unaccustomed to in my current life? Could I be in a different state with a new family? Would I have to spend my youth and adolescence in foster care/homes because nobody wanted to adopt me? So many things could change in my life just from that one decision.
Even looking at little decisions like learning how to drive at age 16, going to a university instead of community college first, or just talking to different people can result in major changes in your life. It can make you look at your life and make you ask yourself "If I could change one thing in my life, would I take that risk to see how my life would have turned out knowing that I couldn't come back to this current life I'm in right now?" Would you risk losing your persona that you have lived with this entire time on a gamble, since you don't know if the outcome could be good or bad.
For some the choice could be easy, but I bet for most people choosing to change your life would be hard. I know for me that I wouldn't change any past decisions or mistakes. I have a few regrets and have made many choices that could have gone different ways, but I like who I've become and I wouldn't throw that away anytime soon. I rather have these questions in my head that will never be answered compared to uncertainties for where my life could have gone and if I'd truly like who I could have become.
What would you choose if you could? Would you go into your past and change it or would you decided not to mess with your past? It's a serious question Isn't it?

Daily Random Thought.
I was just thinking and this really focuses on iPod Touch/iPhone users but wouldn't it be cool if there was a LimeWire application? I know it would never be approved but I think that would be great...

The Beginning of Something...

After a few days of looking over my "blog" if you could really call it that over at Myspace, all I saw was a teenage kid trying to get attention from his friends. Now that I look back on that I've thought to myself that I could do better than that. That I could create someplace more meaningful than "Look at me, I'm so emo sounding," so that's what I'm going to try and do with this new blog. I'm going to talk about things that interest me and actual thoughts I have about certain areas and stories I find around the interwebs (internet). Let's all hope this one doesn't suck as much as the last one!
I also want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas since today is Christmas eve. There is a reason why I started this blog on Christmas eve and that will be explained in tomorrow's post!
