I'm not going to do the Things I Covet posts every week anymore. It's just too hard to think of something to share, especially when I'm not in the mood to do it in the first place. I've still write them, but it will be when I actually get inspired to write them and I know what I want to write about them.
I'm still working on a big post that I've been holding back on, so hopefully that will be posted sooner or later just because I want people to read it. I just feel that it's not complete yet though.

Things I Covet: Pie
Time to talk about one of my favorite things in the world... Pie!
I love pie yet that wasn't always the case. I remember a time where I used to love cake more than pie. I also though about the cake I usually had was chocolate or some sort of ice cream cake and pie had fruit in it. The fruit made the idea of pie too healthy in my young mind at the time so I never really tried pie. That all changed after I had my first bite of Chocolate Cream Pie. After that moment I found that pie was a nice dessert that was just as nice as cake.
I love Key Lime pie, it's so good. The sweetness counteracting with the tangyness. Chocolate Cream is good too, because it is chocolate. Hot Apple pie with Vanilla ice cream is amazing. The heat from the pie vs. the cold of the ice cream and having it melt all over the pie itself... Heavenly. I also can't forget about dinner pies like Chicken Pot pies, to me they are some of the best meals you can have, if they are done correctly.
That's my pie blog. I didn't really want to go on about saying why I liked this kind of pie, cuz it's a boring read. I just wanted to get the point out that pie is an amazing food/dessert and that it is one of my weird obsessions at times.

Things I Covet/Websites You Should View: Iminlikewithyou.com
Yes I know I'm late with this post but College stuff got in the way and I couldn't skip that, and now that classes have started up again I might have trouble keeping up with posts. Anyway moving right along I've decided to combined today's/yesterday's Covet post with I website I think Y'all should check out. It's called Iminlikewithyou.com.
Iminlikewithyou is a online multiplayer game site where they have classic games with most of the games having a twist to them. One of the examples is called "Blockles." It's Tetris but you play against other people trying to make sure that the blocks do not reach the top of your screen, while others are using power-ups to make you lose faster then them, the last one to survive wins. Another game that I really love it called "Balloono." Really it's just "Bomberman with water balloons and cute little monkeys!!!
Iminlikewithyou is just a fun site and before you know it you can become addicted. I remember a time where they had "Time Wasted" clocks that recorded how much time you spent "wasted" playing their games. I don't know where those blocks went now, but last time I remembered I had wasted over 17 hours playing just Blockles. It's a great site when you just want to pass time or you are bored.
Go check it out: wwwwiminlikewithyou.com
If you want my screen name is WonderPanda, add me as a friend.
FYI: you don't have to sign up for an account to play the games. You can play as a "LameGuest" as the site will call you.
Again I'm so sorry this post is this late. I didn't think I would forget about it like I did.

Things I Covet: The Wonder Girls
The Wonder Girls came into the music scene in 2007 and that's when I discovered them and fell in love with their music. Ever since their debut their popularity has grown to the point to where they are now called the "Little Sisters of Korea." The Wonder Girls: Sun-ye, Ye-eun, Yoo-bin, Sun-mi, & So-hee have provided us songs like Irony, So Hot, Nobody, and the song that helped them become stars: Tell Me. Tell me became so popular that people all over Korea and even other parts of the world started to perform the dance routine and many performances can be seen on youtube. It became known as the "Tell Me Virus."
I too have become a victim of the "Tell Me Virus." It was the first song I heard from them and I instantly feel in love with the song. I love the beat and the techno of the song and the dance doesn't hurt either! Since then they've come out with great songs like So Hot and Nobody which I also love as well. Even though I don't understand Korean I just love listening to their songs and when I can I watch clips of their music videos that have english subtitles so I can understand what they are saying. To this day they are still promoting Nobody, since it's a very popular song, winning "Song of the Year" for 2008 after being out for only about 4 months. They also won Best Music Video for Nobody and best female group this year as well.
Now not everyone is going to like their music, especially since it's in a different language, but that's one of the reason why I like them. It's a change from the music that is always playing on the radio and TV here and I think it's always a good thing to try new things. That why I look at music from other parts of this world, cuz sometimes you can find gems like the Wonder Girls or other artists that you might find you love and want to hear more. Plus for me a lot of the music I've heard from other countries I find better than the music we hear here, but that's my opinion.

Things I Covet: Apple

First post of the new year! I still find it weird that it's 2009, time can fly by so fast.
Now on to the Covet post: Apple
I love electronics and I think they can make lives easier and more entertaining to a certain point. Apple of course is one of the leading companies when it comes to computers, software and music. since the iPod and iTunes media player came out in 2001 and the iTunes online store in 2003 Apple helped change the way people listen to music. Of course we can't forget about their computers either. Apple has grown from the "simple" Apple 1 motherboards to the powerful iMacs and Macbooks of today.
There is a big reason that many people, including myself love Apple products and that is functionality. Now I've only used iPods and iTunes. I haven't had a change to really play around with or own a Apple computer to have a true opinion about their computers but when it comes to the iPod and iTunes I truly love how they work so easily. I think what gives the iPod an edge over the other MP3 players and PMPs (Portable Media Players) in my opinon is the interface of the device. I've used other MP3 players before I got my first iPod but I remember all the time I would think about the iPod and how it's easy to view songs by artists or albums and how the click wheel seemed to be the coolest thing. It made it easier to browse through your lists of music at a faster pace. Now with the iPod touch the iPod has moved into a different category compared to other MP3 players. Now we can surf the internet (if you are in an idea that has open Wi-Fi), play games, watch video and a lot more all while still listening to music!
The iTunes store just made the choice to move to the iPod simpler as well. I used many different online music media stores back in the day including iTunes but also Napster, eMusic, MusicMatch and another store that I can't think of at the moment. Back then all of them had something to offer because when I might have looked at iTunes for a song they wouldn't have it, yet Napster would or vice-versa. When iTunes started to grow though I started to see that more of the songs that I was looking to buy were now also at iTunes, so I didn't have to go to the other online stores. Now iTunes has most of the music I want to download now and is always adding to their library. I still have trouble when it comes to Korean, Japanese, and Brit-pop music but iTunes is improving on that.
The one thing I don't like about Apple though are their prices, yet of course I overlook that because I know the product works and is most likely one of the best products you can get. Is 400 dollars too much for an 32 GB iPod touch or 1,999 for a Macbook pro? Most likely yes, but is that price going to stop me from buying it? Most likely no, it just will slow me down from getting it. That's sort of the Apple magic it has over people. They can have almost whatever price they want, and people will still buy them because they are comfortable with the iPod or the Macbooks/iMacs and I am one of them.

Things I Covet: Christmas
This new section is one that I'm really excited about. Technically this section is "things I like." I hope with this section to just show you things that I like, want or think is really cool and should be known and maybe even help you readers learn about new things. It's most likely going to have weekly updates with bonus updates when I just have to tell you about something.
Let's move on to the first Covet post: Christmas
For me the holiday season starts on Thanksgiving and ends on New Years Day and I just love all of the 36 days, anyway I think it's a 36 day span. While at the time students like myself are going through final projects and tests, I just can't stop thinking about what I'm going to be making for Thanksgiving or what I need to get for people during the frenzy that is known as Christmas shopping. Out of the three holidays that happen during the season my favorite has to be Christmas and not because I get presents and money, although those are a nice perk. I love Christmas because it just seems to be a time for joy and cheer. I don't know why but when when I know Christmas is coming or is really close by I just feel happy and that's all I usually feel around this time. Christmas music starts playing, lights and decorations are hung on trees and houses, Santa shows up in malls all across the world and so on. Just seeing and hearing the spirit of Christmas spread around the world is just amazing to me.
Now I know people always say that Christmas has become and is becoming more commercial every single year but how I see it is that people view Christmas as commercial because that's all they see or think about when it comes to the holiday itself. I see Christmas as time where you can enjoy being together with family and just share good food and good times and stories with each other. Other people may view Christmas as something different like an anniversary, birthday, or religious day. Christmas can be however you view it, it's yourself that can make it commercial.
I can't say that I'm immune to the gift-giving and shopping though cause that would be lying. I love shopping for Christmas presents, it's actually one of the things I love most about the holiday. It's a chance to make others happy by giving them a gift that you thought long about and truly put your heart into. Almost everybody runs into problems when picking out presents for others, including me but I think that's what makes it even more meaningful. The best presents are the ones you really think about. I never rush into buying presents, I always think about who I'm buying for whether that be my family or a friend and I try to think of presents that I know they would love to have, actually need, or remind them of fond memories. I really feel that gift-giving gets a bad rap from all the news stories and people complain in the malls/stores, but can actually be a fun experience if you let it be.
Also wrapping presents is a seasonal hobby of mine. I just find it fun, I don't know why. I guess it's just the artist in me since I always try to make my presents look amazing and as perfect as possible.
All in all Christmas is my favorite holiday, and when you combine that with Thanksgiving and New Years the season just seems even better. That's why the holiday season is one thing that I covet. With that I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas!!!
Here are some pictures I took:

I wish this tree could fit in my house.

Instead we have this little cute tree.

and the Charlie Brown Christmas Tree too!

This thing is so freaking huge in person! I want it.

Look's like Santa is real kids!
And here is a video filled with Christmas Cheer for all of you! ;P
